Waterproofing Northeast
Careers at WPNE

We're always hiring good people.

Year-round full-time work, paid weekly, lifetime-warranty standards. Two-minute application below.

How we hire

Three things matter, no matter the role.

Waterproofing Northeast is family-owned and growing. We hire crew leads, helpers, estimators, and office staff. Whatever your spot is, three things matter:

  • Show up on time and tell the truth.
  • Do the work right. We back every job with a lifetime warranty, so we cannot afford shortcuts.
  • Treat the homeowner like a neighbor, because most of the time they are.
Open roles

Roles we hire for.

Crew Lead

Runs the install crew on site. Owns quality, timeline, and homeowner communication.

  • 200+ basements of hands-on experience, or comparable concrete / excavation background
  • Comfortable directing a 2 to 3 person crew
  • Reads a quote sheet, talks to the homeowner, calls when something needs Andrew
  • Year-round full-time, paid weekly

Helper / Apprentice

Starts on the crew, learns the trade. No prior basement experience required if you're willing to work.

  • Reliable transportation and on-time arrival, every shift
  • Comfortable with manual labor and concrete work
  • Paid weekly, paid training, real path to crew lead
  • Year-round full-time

Estimator

Meets homeowners, diagnoses the problem, writes the quote. Sales without high-pressure tactics.

  • Knows basement waterproofing or willing to learn the trade fast
  • Honest communicator, comfortable saying no when the work is not needed
  • Mobile estimating tools (DripJobs, CompanyCam)
  • Compensation: base + commission

Office / Operations

Scheduling, customer service, light bookkeeping. The voice of the company on the phone.

  • Phone-friendly, no-script communicator
  • Comfortable with email, scheduling software, light spreadsheets
  • Detail-oriented, every job in writing
  • Part-time or full-time depending on workload
What it's actually like

Real work in real basements.

Most days the crew is in someone's basement, breaking concrete, trenching the perimeter, setting drain tile and gravel, pouring back the slab. It is physical, technical work in a confined space. Saws are loud. The job is dusty and the homeowner is upstairs. We tarp, filter, and clean every day because their house is also our jobsite.

Crews run year-round. Twin Cities winters are not a reason to stop work, they are a reason to plan it differently. We work indoors most of the time. Outside work (regrading, French drains, exterior excavation) shifts to the parts of the year that allow it.

We do not run subcontracted crews. The people on the truck are on WPNE's payroll. The crew lead the homeowner met at the quote is usually the same person running the install.

Who we hire from

We hire from a lot of places.

Trade school graduates. Veterans. People who learned a different trade and want to switch. People rebuilding after a setback. People who finished high school last month and want to learn something useful. The common thread is the three things up at the top of this page.

If you are a coach, instructor, workforce coordinator, recovery sponsor, or community advocate connecting someone to work, we want to hear from you too. Andrew picks up the phone.
